This year’s summer event was a visit to Ashling Park Vineyard at East Ashling. After a bus ride on the 54 bus, a short walk took the attendees to the Vineyard.
After pre –lunch drinks we had a light lunch taken in the vineyard’s cafeteria or in the restaurant.
Later in the afternoon, after the public tours had ceased, we were given our own private talk and tour of the vineyard
And then tastings of five of their products. At the end of the afternoon, the opportunity was allowed for members to purchase wine.
The return was by private minibus as the bus service 54 is somewhat infrequent.
